Samekquel earned her Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and is a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC). Samekquel has worked with people from diverse backgrounds and varying mental health needs. She is competent in working with individuals experiencing depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, interpersonal dynamics and life transitions. Samekquel approaches therapy through a holistic and collaborative lens with a belief that the participant of therapy is the expert within their own lives. Adolescence is a pivotal time for growth and connection.

Samekquel fosters creativity and equips each person with practical tools that extend beyond the therapeutic space. In her spare time, Samekquel enjoys traveling, reading, trying new restaurants or cooking, and spending time with her loved ones, including her dog Ace.
